This post is not a definitive statement on safety from the ECSC but we strongly recommend that every surfer become familiar with, and abide by IS guidelines before heading out.

If all surfers follow basic safety rules & etiquette and develop an understanding of different spots, conditions, rips etc. the sport will become more enjoyable.
Knowledge and etiquette will always lead to less danger and more fun.
